Your wedding or party budget is smaller than originally planned… YET you REALLY want to hire certain vendors because they are the perfect person or company for you. What do you do? You have a couple options… Your first option is… Don’t just settle for the cheapest vendor, Talk to the one you want! Ask them if they will work with you on the price! Most businesses would rather book a date at a slightly lower rate than have NOTHING. Your other option for an event on a budget, pick a non Saturday date… Most venues and vendors in the wedding & event business cut better deals on days other than Saturday. In the past 2 years especially, we have seen an increase in non-Saturday events, especially weddings. If your wedding is more of a local guests wedding with not alot of out of town people, then try a Friday night. The bottom line is, budgets are affecting both sides of the wedding & event industry. The vendors have bills & responsibilities too. If they can fill a date, it helps the bottom line even if it is a smaller bottom line… So talk to the people you want, the ones you are comfortable with, the ones that were highly recommended…It will more than likely work out for everyone! Had some really great shows and met some very nice people. Took care of 4 shows from Thursday thru Sunday. All of them were outside which led to extra laundry with multiple clothing changes to stay dry… But that’s what we do. The show goes on regardless of the heat. Carrigan Farms is cemented as one of my favorite place to play, even though it is THE toughest place to load in & out… GREAT food, GREAT scenery, & a VERY different type of place. www.carriganfarms.com …Until next time… TA
